Living Adventure in Transition
After two decades of hosting Superior sea kayaking adventures and international trips, Living Adventure is closing the door on a vibrant chapter of Bayfield-based adventure travel. Owners Gail Green and Grant Herman opened in 2002, with the experience from previous careers as educators and outdoor leaders forming the bedrock of what was to become a highly successful business.
To their customers, Living Adventure has been unwavering in their commitment to safety and to creating nature-based experiences that lead not only to Islands, but to inspiration and awe. To their staff, the company has provided superlative training and encouraged them to explore the intersection of their professional and personal selves as a place to springboard for future endeavors.
From Gail & Grant:
“We are transitioning at the top of our game; the company is thriving, but it’s time for a new phase for us – for which we are very excited. Our physical doors are closing, but Living Adventure stays open and alive every time each of us re-visits our shared connection and the collective memories we hold. Living Adventure is a GREAT company, with a GREAT legacy and staff, on a GREAT Lake; we’re calling it a wrap. It’s been a formidable run and one we can all be proud of.”
Our Outfitter Recommendation
They are company friends of Living Adventure who will facilitate a fabulous half-day, day or overnight trip for individuals, families and groups. We want to leave you with these two companies as our exclusive recommendation for your safe, professional sea kayaking experience.
