With the help of last winter’s Ice Caves phenomena, we hosted a record number of people to Lake Superior and the Apostle Islands this season. Many who had trekked across the ice to experience the Sea Caves for the first time came back to get an up close and personal view of this beautiful coastline by sea kayak. Others were Living Adventure ‘frequent flyers’ continuing to build on their sea kayaking experiences with us from half-day and day trips to extended overnight trips. Our most popular overnights this summer were our four day Archipelagos and many of them were custom trips: i.e. folks putting together their own groups and choosing dates that worked for them.
The Lake and Islands more or less remain the same out there year after year. Gorgeous, powerful, giving and taking. New staff and new customers bring fresh perspective to those of us who hold the fort down year round and we look forward to rolling it all into another great 2015 summer season.
