Explore islands, lighthouses, shipwrecks, wildlife, sea caves, remote beaches and much more on a voyage of discovery through the treasured Apostle Islands off the northern most point of Wisconsin. SEACAVES-SAND ISLAND LIGHTHOUSE (3 hours)
The focus of the tour is the exploration of the most extensive complex of sea caves in the Apostle Islands. Lake Superior has formed this labyrinth over thousands of years and each area has unique shapes, colors and sounds. Our return route passes the Eagle Island bird sanctuary where sightings of cormorants, herring gulls, eagles, osprey and loons are common. The final stop on our adventure is the historic Sand Island lighthouse built in 1881 and considered by many to be one of the most beautiful on Lake Superior.

STOCKTON ISLAND-JULIAN BAY
Julian Bay's crescent shape, sparkling clear water and two mile long white sand beach make this one of our most popular destination tours. Upon arrival we go ashore near the shipwreck Noque Bay and explore the surrounding sand dunes and wetland while enjoying the spectacular scenery and tranquility of the bay. This is also a favorite haunt of the Island’s most famous resident; the black bear. There is plenty to see on the way with a stop at the restored historic Manitou Island fishing camp which offers a glimpse of the life of a commercial fishing family in the early 1900's. Our return route is no less exciting as we pass renowned Hermit Island and learn about this Island’s fascinating past. Throughout our journey island shorelines reveal hidden coves, towering white pine, nesting eagles and the distant horizon of a shimmering Lake Superior.

A water taxi service is available to all the Apostle Islands for hikers and kayakers. The routes offer ample opportunities to enjoy the scenery and hidden treasures of the Islands while on route to your final destination.
